Mutation prediction method: ALGORIMUT© an algorithm to predict the changes of amino acids induced by mutations.

Summary: An algorithm has been developed to predict the changes of amino acids which can occur in certain proteins due to mutations. Said proteins are studied in natural or experimental systems in order to predict the mutational changes.

This predictive algorithm will permit the design of useful therapeutic molecules and vaccines in accordance with said prediction of mutational changes of amino acids, in such a way that they will be active against any future multidrug-resistant or escape mutants pathogenic microorganisms, biological agents or molecules, even before said mutants are created in nature. This method can also be useful to predict the genomic and proteomic evolution pathway of certain proteins or micro-organisms under a specific environment.

Fields of the invention: Biotechnology, immunotherapy, antibiotic therapy, multidrug-resistant escape mutants, vaccine design for viral diseases (i.e. highly variable viruses such as avian influenza (flu) H5N1, SARS, hepatitis C, HIV virus, Coronavirus 2019-nCov (SARS-CoV-2, Covid-19), ebola and other pestivirus), pharmacology and evolution genetics and proteomics, military defence against biological warfare, etc.

We are looking for development partners.
